Junior fleet
The Junior Fleet at West River Sailing Club is a vibrant and integral part of our community. While many of our Junior Fleet members participate in one or more of our multiple junior programs, the Junior Fleet itself is a distinct and dynamic group.
Our Junior Fleet members are deeply committed to giving back to the club and fostering a love for sailing among our youngest sailors, the Sea Urchins. They volunteer their time and energy to support and mentor these budding sailors, helping them develop their skills and passion for the sport.
Beyond their work with the Sea Urchins, the Junior Fleet is actively involved in various volunteer activities around the club. On work party days, they lend a hand with maintenance and improvements, ensuring our facilities remain in top condition. They also organize and participate in social events, such as movie nights and their own gatherings, which strengthen their bonds and create lasting memories.
The Junior Fleet plays a crucial role in sponsoring and hosting our annual holiday party, an event that brings joy and festivity to the entire club. Their efforts and enthusiasm are a testament to their dedication and the bright future they represent for West River Sailing Club.
In many ways, the Junior Fleet is the lifeline of our club, exemplifying the spirit of camaraderie, volunteerism, and a shared love for sailing. Their active participation and social gatherings help create a strong, cohesive community that supports and nurtures all its members.

Junior memberships are included with all of our junior programs and are also available separately. Please note that junior membership does not qualify for junior program discounts.
